Council Appoints Coveleski Police Chief, Approves Capital Bond

NJ PALMYRA — Palmyra Council promotes Coveleski to Police Chief, approves $1.08 million in bonds. Borough Council promoted Lt. Stephen Coveleski to Chief of Police through Resolution 2026-140, with Mayor Gina Ragomo Tait administering the oath, by a vote of four to zero.
Bond Ordinance 2026-05 appropriated $984,750 for capital improvements, authorizing $935,512 in bonds, and Ordinance 2026-06 appropriated $150,000 for sewer improvements, authorizing $142,500 in bonds, both approved four to zero. Following executive session, Council confirmed Bernadette Davis-Green as Municipal Clerk at $88,000 annually and Tanyika Johns as Registrar at $2,759.40 per year, along with other personnel appointments and merit increases for existing staff, all approved four to zero.
