Palmyra Council Reorganizes; Howard Elected President

NJ PALMYRA — Palmyra Borough Council held its annual reorganization meeting, unanimously re-electing Timothy Howard as Council President. Four newly sworn council members, Natasha Latimore, John Liebe, Richard Dreby, and Sean O'Connell, joined Howard and Mayor Gina Ragomo Tait. The council accepted the resignation of Councilwoman Jessica O'Connor and the retirement of Police Chief Josiah Murphy.
Approved through a 67-resolution consent agenda were major service contracts totaling over $1.5 million, including $658,573 for sewage treatment plant maintenance and $599,827 for on-call services. Mayor Tait credited prior-year accomplishments to in-house trash management, road resurfacing, the Route 73 South redevelopment project (Phoenix Award recipient), and the Summer Meals program serving over 20,000 meals.
