Palmyra Council approves budget cap ordinance and measures

NJ PALMYRA — Palmyra Borough Council unanimously approves three ordinances including a budget cap measure. Council President Timothy Howard and Members Richard Dreby, Anthony Foster, John Liebe, and Sean O'Connell approved Ordinance 2026-01 to exceed the 2026 municipal budget limits and establish a CAP Bank, along with ordinances amending police employment rules and a capital improvements bond. The Council also unanimously adopted seven resolutions on consent, including appointments of Ethan McGlone and Benjamin Esposito to the Fire Department and a $1,210.72 tax refund to LERETA, LLC.
Mayor Gina Ragomo Tait declared National School Breakfast Week, noting that 56 percent of Palmyra school children are food insecure.
